Kara + Ryan

Last week I drove 5 hours north to Seneca Lake in New York State for Kara and Ryan's wedding. Several months ago, Sarah and I had documented the wedding of one of Kara's bridesmaids, Kirsty and her groom Stephen. Kara had been a bridesmaid at Kirsty's wedding, so we were thrilled to be able to work with Kara for hers. It was a beautiful event, held at the lovely Belhurst Castle. Congratulations to the couple!

Lauren + Andy

By now, Lauren and Andy are hopefully over the Pacific on their way to Thailand. Yesterday, on the eastern shore of Maryland, they were married. Congratulations to the happy couple!!!

Abby + CJ

A few months ago, I met up with Abby and CJ to shoot their engagement photos. I was impressed by the excitement they both very obviously had to be married. I could see that one way or another, they were counting the days. This past Saturday, Mustafah and I had the pleasure of shooting their wedding day. Congratulations to you both, Abby and CJ! We wish you all the best!

Sam + Ben

4 weeks ago, Sarah and I met Sam and Ben at Hershey Park for their engagement photo session. We had such a fun time that we felt prompted to present them with our "Best E-Session Location" award. This past Saturday was their wedding, and it more than lived up to our previous shoot.

Our good friend and fellow photographer, Mustafah Abdulaziz, joined me to shoot their big day. We arrived bright and early, with Mustafah heading to Ben's house and me going to Sam's. 11 hours and 4000 photos later, we were finished. Sam and Ben, it was a pleasure working with you both! Congratulations, and all the best on your honeymoon!

Janel + Jon

Janel and Jon's wedding, which took place this past Friday, was the start of a 20 hour marathon of weddings, all of which took place over 2 days. It was a great way to get the ball rolling! I'd traveled to Valley Forge National Park a couple of months ago to shoot their engagement photos, and it was great seeing them again.

The day kicked off with a "portrait" session of Jon and his groomsman (including his sister, who was his best man... er woman) at their local go-cart track. It was great having carte blanche from the operators for photographing on the track. In my experience, they're usually fascists when it comes to following the rules.

From there it was back to the venue for the ceremony and reception, both of which were beautiful. Congrats to the couple, who are now on their honeymoon. Like always, it was a pleasure!

Laurice + Alex

This is one of the many weddings I looked forward to this year, and it did not disappoint!  Laurice and Alex were married this past Saturday, which also happened to be the Summer Solstice (how cool is that!) Several months ago, Sarah and I shot their engagement photos and had a blast working with them. Not surprisingly, it was the same on their wedding day.

Laurice and Alex, it was a blast. Have a great time in Thailand!

Becky + Rick

It's been a crazy crazy week, with some huge developments for Sarah and I, as well as for our business. We've got some announcements coming up in the next 10 days that will mark a substantial new direction for Vantage Pictures. To borrow a much over-used line from TV, stay tuned for more!

Friday afternoon we made the 5 hour drive (6 1/2 with I95 traffic) from Lancaster to Hampton VA. We stayed at Sarah's sister's house for the weekend, hanging out with our hilarious niece and nephew. While there, the girls of the house ganged up on the guys, and we were forced to watch the musical 1776. It of course ended up being a blast.

Saturday I drove up to Richmond to shoot Becky and Rick's wedding. Not only did it end up being one of the hottest days of the year, (the heat index was 107!!!) but there was also an unexpected town festival that blocked off traffic to the church. These unforeseen obstacles were easily side-stepped however, resulting in a great ceremony. From there we drove to the reception at the Richmond Science Museum, where cake and champagne was enjoyed by all. Thanks to everyone for a great weekend, and especially, congrats to the couple!!!

Christine + Matt

This past Sunday we had the pleasure of covering Christine and Matt's wedding. The event was set at her family's plantation home, located in picturesque Middleburg, VA. For all those car lovers out there, the couple's one photo request was that they have their photo taken on their family's Rolls Royce (A Silver Spur). Congratulations to the all involved, especially Christine and Matt!

brandi + bryan

Whew! After a 9 hour drive down to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, we had the opportunity to work with Brandi and Bryan while capturing their wedding day. We couldn't have asked for a better location, or a happier couple. Congratulations to you both!
